B3212. Not all English roads are crowded. No CCTV either, not yet anyway. This type of location will soon be the only refuge from Big Brother.

New bridge at Two Bridges
The old bridge now goes to Two Bridges Hotel. The fence under the new bridge keeps stock from wandering onto the hotel lawns.

Steps Bridge
Across the River Teign near Dunsford. The first bridge was built here in 1710, replacing stepping stone across the weir dam Link. Many accidents had occurred, and it was built as a result of 'the loss of a man and a woman who were taken downstream and drowned together with their horses'. The current bridge bears the date 1816 but building had started in 1814. The contractors had deviated from the contract by building it 2 feet too low and on shallow foundations so money was withheld until things were put right.

Postbridge Clapper Bridge
The Clapper Bridge at Postbridge, dating from the thirteenth century. Three huge slabs of granite on stone piers span this part of the East Dart on the old packhorse route between Plymouth and Moretonhampstead. The bridge is a few yards south of the turnpike bridge which carries the B3212 and is a popular stop off for visitors.

Clapper Bridge near Powder Mills
A clapper bridge over Cherry Brook within the area of the old Powder Mills. Used to be on the Lych Way until it was re-routed through the north part of the mills. The Lych Way remains the only way to access the Powder Mills as the access past the Pottery is private.

2 old A30's
The original went straight on and, also in the early years of the bypass. Later, it was rerouted via the right turn, where widening of the corner was undertaken.
