Map showing how Redditch could have looked if the entire road network planned in the 1960's was built.
Original plan for Redditch Ringway. It would have started and finished on the same roundabout with a filter lane to allow traffic wanting to remain on the ringway to avoid the roundabout.
Early design for Redditch Ringway as a dual carriageway with roundabouts. This is from a 1967 planning map. This is the earliest planning map known for the new town and all subsequent maps show the ring road as a one way street which is how it was built.
