The improved Dawsons Lane around Buckshaw Village. Signals have been installed so that new residents can get in and out of the Northern end of the Buckshaw Village Development. Please note that Vectra's haven't been used in the improvements; Could this be a turning point for Lancashire CC? err, no. The Vectras have been used for the more recent J29 approaches widening works on the B5248 and the A49.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on May 31, 2006 by wallaseyDawsons Lane was once a small country lane winding it's way around the old Ordinance Factory. The said factory has since gone and is now being developed into housing and industrial use. With the increase in the local area, many improvements to the surrounding road networks is required. New junctions have been implemented and roads are being widened to allow better access to the M6 and the M61.
It's interesting to note that Lancashire (or South Ribble) have not used Vectras on the Dawsons Lane Improvements
