This shows the road in all its glory along with the railway. This whole area was a railway before rail traffic declined and the city council decided to lump a road in.

This shows the impressive Union Bridge which carries Union Street (and a shopping centre too!) over the valley. The B986 meets up with the Wapping Street - Guild Street gyratory, and eventually this should form part of a major North/South route (this part of the B986 is woefully underused, it's one of the best stretches of road in Aberdeen in my opinion)

This shows a slight height difference between the carriageways. It should be noted that the railway is lower as well (though, the whole valley used to be full of various sidings)

This is the start of the little dual carriageway that runs under Union Street, Aberdeen. The road continues up to another dual carriagway after the roundabout.
