This map shows one of the dropped proposals for the 2016 M42 J6 (Bickenhill Interchange) Upgrade Consultation - http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/index.php?title=File:M42-J6-Scheme-Presentation-May-2016-V3.pdf. The design is derived from a Whirlpool Interchange. Map is own work.

Some of the last few surviving white colour Urbis ZX3s (SON/HPS) along the M42 central reservation, heading up towards Bickenhill Interchange (junction 6). Theres about 8 of the lanterns that are still yet to be removed. Everything else has now been replaced for Phosco P860s (LED).

Dark grey 12m columns with Philips Traffic-Visions/SGS306s (HPS/SON) on the A45, just coming away from the junction with the M42. Some of the Traffic-Visions/SGS306s have since been replaced for Holophane V-Max (LED), which was Solihull council’s doing.
