A6078 Bridge Replacement
This is in a very odd place... I don't think a TRO has been applied here, just the wrong sign.

Awful Cycle Lane 1
Welcome to Sudell Cross, Blackburn. Before we turn around and explore this new contraflow cycle lane, let's spot its start. This is glorious isn't it, it feeds cyclists into both a No Motor Vehicles sign and a stone block...

Awful Cycle Lane 2
The markings are wrong, the lanes are too narrow for two cyclists to pass. The refuge is not illuminated. There are no warning signs for drivers to be alerted of contraflow cycle lanes.
Also how is a cyclist meant to make the double 90 degree turn shown in the markings?

Awful Cycle Lane 3
Your guess is as good as mine as to why there are I-bars AND double yellows covering the entrance to Town Hall Street (pedestrian zone 7am-7pm). Note dodgy markings too.

Awful cycle lane 5
At the zebra crossing cyclists are left with no idea of where they should be going. Wonderful!
Note also the opposing cycle lane forcing cyclists onto the zebra crossing on a blind left hand bend...

Car Park control signs
These have been installed at every car park under local authority control in Blackburn, but this is a special example being near Ewood Park football ground. Note home made symbols!

New style services sign - this one is fortunately better than the total mess at junction 5.
