Gallery:Border Crossing Point
Put pictures of road features at significant borders in this gallery.
Road leads from the Clontygora townland, Co. Armagh into Edentobber, Co. Louth. Eventually joins the old N1 at Carrickcarnan, Co. Louth. Anyone know the numerical designations (RoI/NI) for this road?

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Aug 04, 2007 by IJP1Just crossing the Border again. The trees seem to be right on it. This is the last crossing before Cavan. You can see the km/h speed limit warning sign for the Republic.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 03, 2007 by csdAbout the cross the border from NI into the Republic on the A1/N1 border. The (learner) driver in front is about to cross the border - since (s)he had been carefully observing the annoying NI provisional restriction by sticking to 40mph, I'll assume the driver was in possession of two provisional licences, one for each juristiction. You can just make out the change in road markings and the 100km/h speed limit signs just across the border.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 15, 2007 by mackerskiThis picture was taken as I crossed the border on 6th September 2004. The Foreground road markings are N3, ROI and the A46 starts at the UK 40mph sign. I think the garage was selling petrol at ROI prices (30% cheaper than UK) but in UK sterling as it straddles the border. The N3 resumes if you follow the A46 to Enniskillen and and take the A509 towards Cavan. N3 starts again about 12 miles north of the town.
