Botswana's A1 meets its A2 here at this dramatic roundabout junction - Zeerust in South Africa (left) is a short hop away en route to Johannesburg and Pretoria, as is Mafikeng in South Africa (straight). However, the next remotely large settlement turning right is Windhoek in Namibia, nearly 1300km away, along the relatively recently surfaced Kalahari Highway. Not a place for a wrong turn, then...!
