The roundabout in Cambeltown, possibly the end of the A83, possibly just part of the B842.

Campbeltown- Northern Ireland destinations The National Cycle Network sign gives distances to three Northern Irish towns, thanks to the existence of a passenger ferry.
Campbeltown- the Kintyre Express This vessel provides a passenger ferry service between Campbeltown and Ballycastle, County Antrim, with some routes taking in Port Ellen on the isle of Islay.
The crossing between Scotland and Northern Ireland represents the closest straight-line distance between their shores - about 11 miles - although the boat journey itself is around 40 miles in length as Campbeltown is so far up the eastern side of the Kintyre peninsula and Ballycastle further west along the Irish coast. The trip takes around 2 hours.
