M25 Clockwise at Thorpe Interchange. ('Cyclic' with M3.) Note the Variable Speed Limit on the gantry. The off-slip has a 'Variable speed limit ENDS' sign.
Originally uploaded on Nov 16, 2003 by Stack_InterchangeThe very last motorway catenary lighting installation in the country from what Ive seen, lit with Phosco P415 (LPS) lanterns. This is along the M1 between Watford and the M25 interchange. Apparently this lighting is sadly due to be removed from what Ive heard, and I imagine should be gone by 2020.
Phosco lighting along the M1 at J6, just outside Watford. P415s and catenary lighting (central-reservation), and the P860 series (slip-roads). The prievious lighting for the slip-roads were Philips MA50s.
