M8 intermediate junction
The M8's only intermediate junction (for southbound traffic) is south of Fermoy town, and provides access to Fermoy and Rathcormac. It's numbered J15, the first such junction to be numbered on the N8.

J15
Just south of Fermoy. This is a simple dumbbell interchange, with toll booths on slips. Note there is space for an extra lane on the southbound carriageway as it climbs the hill beyond the junction. This is hatched off, but was presumably provided to allow an escape route if merging traffic causes someone in lane 1 to suddenly pull out into lane 2.
