The original A9 dropped to the bottom of the valley to cross this small arch bridge, the current A9 crosses the viaduct.

The current A9 bridges the valley at Dunbeath whereas the old road was a twisty decent to the bottom and back up again with the hairpin seen in the foreground and the arch bridge behind the new viaduct.
