Well I was seriously considering flipping this over and saying it was England but I won't lie. It's on a motorway in France September last year. But apart from being the other way round I think it looks very British and pretty, so I thought I'd chance it this time.

This is the classic head found all over Paris. The road authorities upgraded these with LED inserts and lenses a long time ago - I remember seeing the LED units already in service back in 1994.

This is an example of the futuristic designs to be found in France. They are quite unlike anything else. This is a bit like the old UK SGE head, but mounted 'end-on'. Another style has each aspect shaped like a computer VDU monitor!

The Champs Elysees in Paris. Very wide, 3 to 4 lanes in each direction I think, plus parking at each side, and very busy.
