A rather simple submission, this picture was taken at the end of July and it shows the M27 Climbing Lane works on a sunny day. Since taking this photo the works have been downsized noticeably and the cameras removed.

From the HAs CCTV trial.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 27, 2008 by MSAJohnnyA failed attempt to show how nasty the lay-bys are. Damn that car! You can just about make out how tight the merge is, and all the lay-bys on the by-pass are like this.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 27, 2008 by MSAJohnnyEveryone starts moving left. How many 'true' fork signs like this are there?
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Aug 24, 2009 by JohnnyAt the TOTSO, with a Mr. Floppy in the distance.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 03, 2005 by MSAJohnnyTraffic lights were added because there is a crossroads just behind that red car, ironically called Blind Lane.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 03, 2005 by MSAJohnnyThe A500 Stoke D-road is great, but here there is a good 350 yards of lay-by on either side which are always packed. I'm sure they started a thread of some sort on the forums.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Aug 04, 2006 by MSAJohnnyLooking over the fence to the right of this photo. The other half of the roundabout should be here, and the fence in the distance should be sliproad.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 18, 2005 by MSAJohnnyYou can easily imagine this as a roundabout interchange.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 18, 2005 by MSAJohnnyStart of 60 mph limit (was 50). Far sign reads 'No hard shoulder for two miles'. There is one, it's just narrow, and by two miles they mean 'on motorway'.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 18, 2005 by MSAJohnnyI'd hate to have to read that if I didn't know where I'm going.
Look at how the right hand part of the sign is bigger. This is just the old sign bodged up.
UPDATE! Good news, this sign has been removed!
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 18, 2005 by MSAJohnnyThey still call it the M27 (E)...
Look at how the right hand part of the sign is bigger. This is just the old sign bodged up, hence the VMSs being slightly out of place.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 18, 2005 by MSAJohnnySurely there are better ways of signing this, it seems pretty rubbish.
Look at how the right hand part of the sign is bigger. This is just the old sign bodged up, hence the VMSs being out of place and the sign being pointlessly big.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 18, 2005 by MSAJohnnyJ12 has to do 50 (is it really possible round that sliproad) whilst we adjust to NSL.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 11, 2006 by JohnnyA seemingly pointless roundabout, though it slows us down and allows slower vehicles to get out of the way.
The M27 is in the background.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 11, 2006 by MSAJohnnyWith a green central reservation. This road is now S2.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 11, 2006 by JohnnyA pre-Worboys sign on display in the Wirral Transport Museum. I can't place this one on the map, it could be just south of Birkenhead.
EDIT: Now located with thanks to Bryn, it's the start of the New Ferry Bypass here.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 27, 2008 by MSAJohnnyA pre-Worboys sign on display in the Wirral Transport Museum. I believe this is from a now unclassified junction in the nearby village of Upton, facing south.
