Originally uploaded to Coppermine on May 27, 2006 by LonewolfThis is simply the reverse view of Old A1_1. I now have my back to the roundabout and looking north. The Walshford flyover is just visible to the right of the trees as are the roofs of lorries on the new stretch. So the A1 has to have run pretty much from me direct to that bridge.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Aug 03, 2005 by LonewolfThis is the new roundabout at Walshford looking south. Note we have an original A1 south route confirmation sign right on the corner. The other one says The South (A1) and Wetherby A168. The road is the old southbound carriageway, the northbound is gone. The Bridge Inn is about 200 yards off the right hand side of the pic.
