Gallery:M11 (Republic of Ireland)
The scheme will have GSJ's at the current terminus of the Gorey Bypass, and an intermediate junction with to meet a new 2+2 extension of the N80. It will terminate at an at grade roundabout north of the village of Oilgate.
An S2 N30 bypass to the east will also be built, terminating at the same point as the new N80 extension (current intersection of N11 and N80). IN essence a 5 arm roundabout will be created here.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 03, 2009 by danthemanTypical Irish motorway fork-style sign. This one's located on the M11 Bray bypass. Much has changed since this picture was taken in 2003; an extra lane is being added (as part of the M50 tie-in), and two overhead gantries are to replace this rather small sign.

In the distance is the second of two gantries, which will sign the lane drop for the Bray exit, the M11's only intermediate junction. An extra lane is being added between the M50 merge and the Bray exit. Due for completion in summer 2005.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 06, 2005 by csdThat's 500 metres, not miles :-) Note the solid yellow hard shoulder, typical of Irish motorways.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 06, 2005 by csdExcept for a few very short sections, all Irish motorways are D2M and look something like this picture. This particular strech has changed with the works to tie in the M50 (visible on the right of the picture). Irish motorways do have emergency phones, but with the exception of the M50, tend not to have matrix displays of any kind.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 15, 2007 by csdA new motorway lever gantry sign at junction 22 on the N11, heading towards Dublin. This sign previously gave Inch as the only destination. Gorey (North) has since been sensibly added. Apologies for the poor quality of the image. Early-August, 2009.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Aug 22, 2009 by prayspotThe 500 m advance sign on the N11 (soon to be M11) has been recently replaced by this motorway sign. Gorey (North) has now been added in addition to Inch. Apologies for the poor quality of the image. Early-August, 2009.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Sep 01, 2008 by prayspotAn arched sign for exit 22 on the N11. These signs are appearing more and more on Irish dual carriageways and motorways. Only Inch is signed here, but the old N11 (the R 772), serves Gorey too. August 08.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Sep 01, 2008 by prayspotHeading south, the only intermediate junction is the exit for Arklow. The slip road for this exit diverges here.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 17, 2006 by csdThe ADS for the Arklow bypass's only intermediate junction, seen heading south. The Arklow bypass opened on 29.01.1999, relieving a major bottleneck on the N11/E01 route between Dublin and Rosslare Europort.
