Apologies for using MS Paint! I reckon the main traffic flow here is Birmingham-Oxford, so here's how adding a couple of slip roads could ease the pain. Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Sep 14, 2005 by rusty

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 29, 2009 by leekmanFingers crossed you'll get in the correct lane. In my opinion this is possibly the most confusing sign on the motorway network.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on May 09, 2009 by YorklettsThere's a right mess here. Just one panel from the old gantry remains but the signs on the new gantry are obscured by the old one. Also, both revolving panels on the new gantry are displaying M6.

There is a camera post just off shot to the right.

Originally uploaded on Apr 25, 2004 by 404simonat the end of the M40. it's marked with lanes, but they are faint at a distance
Originally uploaded on Apr 25, 2004 by 404simonYou can reach this point by walking along the old alignment of the Christmas Common road (see map) from the south (not from the north as the map would suggest is easy to drive to). Incidentally you might have seen this scene before even if you haven't been here - a flyover of the motorway at this point is part of the opening titles of The Vicar of Dibley, which is filmed in Hambleden about 6-7 miles away.
