First sign for the GSO on the M77 southbound
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 28, 2006 by scynthius726Entering the roundabout on which the GSO terminates coming from the M77 southbound. The road markings shown are incorrect, the left lane should have a left turn arrow only and the right lane should have arrows for left, ahead and right.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 12, 2007 by TruveloA more staid photo... this photo shows the old A77 (downgraded from S4 to S2 + cycle path) next to the M77 heading off into the distance :) Pity about the weather.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 17, 2007 by scynthius726Lots of lanes (and hard shoulders and ghost islands) where these two motorways meet! I'm standing over the eastbound carriageways, looking east in the evening light.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 15, 2005 by GavThis shows the location of the sign that I had talked about - sorry for the poor picture. The sign is actually drilled into the hardshoulder of the mainline of the motorway.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 07, 2005 by M4SimonHeading Northbound on the M77 past the south-Glasgow suburbs. The road is fairly high up at this point and has yet to start dropping down towards the city. The rest of the city can be glimpsed behind the house on the right.
Lots of Sky!

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 07, 2005 by M4SimonThe M77 is coming down off the moors through the Glasgow suburbs towards the city centre. The road is fairly new, this section was completed in 2000.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jan 07, 2010 by bobklakerThe M8/M77 interchange. This is a little over two miles from Glasgow city centre and is huge. Just after the diverge there are sixteen lanes over eight carrigeways, albeit for a short distance.

Familiar from traffic reports. There may be 15 lanes but this does tend to jam up easily. The M77 leaves the M8 here for Ayrshire.
Looking eastbound towards the site of another big junction to come - where the M8 will meet the M74.
Looking away from the M8/M77 interchange towards the East. From this point the M8 is D3M plus D3M D/C lanes (both directions) for a bit more than two miles.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 09, 2005 by Ash of the NorthLooking south towards M8 J22. The slips curving off to the left become the M77. The M8 is the road in the middle which runs under one of the flyovers in the middle-distance.
