M9 terminal junction
In 2007, the M9's only junctions were at its beginning and at its end. Here's the southern one, the grade-separated diamond with the N78.

The N78 north of Newtown, County Laois
Until March 2010 the N78 went north from Athy to Kilcullen. Now it turns at Athy and connects to the M9 via this new 8 km road. Looking west here, towards Athy.
The R418 Athy - Kilcullen road at Ballyshannon Crossroads. Formerly a section of the N78: note the section marker in place in 2010.
