Construction of the eastern tie-in for Boulder City Bypass.

This is the westbound off-slip at the junction. Prior to late 2017, the main-line carried on straight ahead to Boulder City, along the Boulder City Parkway (this being the terminus of the Hoover Dam bypass). This was a conventional diamond junction and allowed access along the old US-93 (now NV-172) to the Hoover Dam and to Goldstrike Canyon.

The Boulder bypass works saw a new motorway constructed to the south of the city, with the main line of the US-93 being diverted onto the new road. A westbound free-flow sliproad was added to allow direct access to the Boulder City Parkway - the bridge in this photograph (orientated looking north) is being constructed in this photograph.
