Warkworth Bridges, old and new The new bridge, carrying the A1068, was built in 1965 to replace the medieval bridge which was completely inadequate to cope with modern traffic.

National Cycle Network route 1 near Wooden Farm There is now a separate cycle track (National Cycle Network route 1 - Coast and Castles route, and European Cycle Network - North Sea Cycleway) which runs alongside the busy A1068 the whole way between Warkworth and Alnmouth.

Cycle-foot path, A1086 The path has been built along the route of the A1086 but on the other side of the hedge. The hedge is hawthorn - beware, but hedge trimmers do not operate during the bird breeding season.
The B1342 passes St. Aiden's Chruch, Bamburgh and the grave of Grace Darling. Surprisingly to the photographer the East Coast can provide a sunset over the sea, as near the longest day, it doesn't set due West and the coast curves to the North here.
