The Lake at Tebay Services - Coppermine - 7297.jpg
The Lake at Tebay Services

The loveliest and most special MSA in this country, in my opinion. A view over the lake at Tebay Services on the M6, taken from the restaurant. Although it was an overcast day, the clouds give the photo atmosphere, in my opinion. The M6 can just about be seen right in the distance.

N7 J6 n-b - Coppermine - 7785.jpg
N7 J6 n-b

View from the overbridge at junction 6 on the newly upgraded N7. This was taken with the sun behind me on a beautiful day. There wasn't a cloud in the sky! This is looking northbound towards Dublin. This was the first rural dual cariageway in the Republic of Ireland, built in the 60s/70s and by the time of the upgrade, it really showed! This section is in county Kildare with the county Dublin border neing just at the crest of the hill. The two county councils used to test road markings and pavements there.

Barnstaple Downstream Bridge - Coppermine - 7718.jpg
Barnstaple Downstream Bridge

We haven't had a bridge for a couple of months, so why not have one under construction, just for a change?! Taken from the north Bank of the Taw.

M2 Country Crossing - Coppermine - 7788.jpg
M2 Country Crossing

A seldom seen view of Northern Ireland's M2 crossing this rural road, outside Mallusk. The geology of the road allowed the picture to be taken almost on level with the motorway.

A282 Dartford Crossing and Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Purfleet - Coppermine - 7768.jpg
A282 Dartford Crossing and Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Purfleet

Well, we're supposed to have integrated transport in this country, so why not have rail and road links in the same picture! Taken from the A1090 London Road, Purfleet. The A282 in the background is of course the northern approach to the actual crossing, out of shot to the right.

The newly-built 'Clyde Arc' bridge (Finnieston, Glasgow)

New bridge over the River Clyde, near Finnieston in Glasgow. Photograph taken on Sunday 17 September 2006: pedestrians had been allowed access for a preview, before the bridge was opened to vehicular traffic, and named the Clyde Arc, the following day.
