Gallery:Pre-Worboys Advance Direction Signs
Suitably adorned with a direction sign for an antiques fair, this is one of a pair of pre-Worboys on the A1005, just north of Enfield. Taken April 2004.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Aug 02, 2008 by YorklettsThis painted pre-worboys sign near Crayford, Kent is faded, but I have enhanced the phto, and It made the colour less-faded.
EDIT:
This sign has now been replaced
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 16, 2005 by MotorwayGuyApart from the sign at Woodchurch on the B2067, this is the only other pre-Worboys 'junction approach' sign in South East Kent (as far as I know). It's on the B2080 in the village of Appledore. It is smaller than its brother on the 2067, being supported by a single pole.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 29, 2007 by exploA bit the worse for wear, and unusual because it is out of date! the right hand road is now the A3063.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 14, 2005 by M4SimonSame junction as previous picture, facing west (the first sign is in the hedge on the left, pointing towards us) Note the yellowing of the white parts. This is the point where the B283 turns north, along Burdon Lane.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 12, 2005 by t1(M)Spotted last night (15th July 2009), in remarkably good condition.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 16, 2009 by leopard680Southbound sign for Glen Feshie Junction, similar sign going north, never took a shot :-(
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 15, 2007 by NwallaceOne of the original road signs near the junction of The Ridgeway and Hadley Road.
This is a sign on the unclassified road between Green and Graig at its junction with the A541 at SJ066700. There are modern signs once you reach the junction a short distance behind the second tree.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 03, 2005 by Mediaman_12A good example of its type; great shame about the modern brown tourist signs tacked on underneath !!!
