I was asking about the height of speed limit signs. The one in the centre of the dual carriageway always seem very low down to me and I can't see any obvious reason why it should be so low.

Here the A8 gets much more crowded compared to the D3 section just along the road in Carntyne

The Green was left largely in its original state after the A12 works, but an old oak tree that was the focus of high-profile protests was cut down.

The George pub is directly ahead.

23.4.1986The A12 beyond Gallows Corner is lit by 70s/80s gear-in-shoe MA60s. They are still standing as of May 2009, so they have done incredibly well so far! The puffin crossing in the foreground must be a recent addition, as it wasn't here when I last passed here about 8 years ago! This has meant that a ZX3 Zebra has been installed to light it - thankfully however surrounding MA60s haven't been replaced with SON lanterns, as has been seen on some council roads, which is always good!
