Swarco Motus AluStar traffic lights, North Strand Dublin
The typical British way of protected right turn signalling (where the green arrow usually comes on at the end) was rarely used in Dublin in the past however has just been reintroduced in these new AluStar traffic lights.

Mellor signal with ahead priority.
this is a useful signal setup. so traffic is allways moving, and to still allow pedestrians to cross, they restrict movements while the peds. get a green light.

A very british looking sign in Dublin! (Upper Sheriff Street, Dublin 1, Docklands)
This one looks out of place here. No Irish language, plenty of lowercase transport font and the weight restriction should have stubs to indicate a strikeout (all Irish prohibitory signage has a red strikeout, while things you must do have not!).

However, it does conform to the new principles as laid out in the Traffic Signs Manual 2010 whereby red-ringed regulatory signs without strike-out represent a LIMIT (speed, weight, height, time-limited parking, etc.). Prohibitory (must-not-do) signs continue to incorporate a strike-out. Mandatory (must-do) signs are now circular white-on-blue as per Vienna Convention Type A. (N.B. The weight limit here has now been raised to 26 t.)
