R415
Route confirmatory sign in Kildare. (This sign has since been replaced by another, some 90 m closer to the town centre and using different spellings.)

Merry Christmas in May Allen, County Kildare. Putting up external Christmas decorations and then leaving them there all year has become fairly common in rural Ireland in the past decade. Ugh!
Allen, County Kildare Approaching from the south on the R415. In the two years since the earlier photo of this spot the patched-up damaged signs remain unchanged.
M7 Kildare bypass
This shows the typical motorway 'fork' sign, used extensively on Irish motorways and improved dual carriageways. The completion in 2003 and 2004 of the Kildare and Monasterevin bypasses means there is now 63 km of continuous motorway between north of Naas and south of Portlaoise. Tolled extensions further south have recently received planning approval, and tenders are expected to be issued later this year.
