R600
His Master's Voice A sculpture made from 4 concrete pipes and a statue of a man and dog on the outskirts of the village of Belgooly. Commissioned in 1998 as part of the re-building of two nearby bridges on the R600 Kinsale Road. The artist who created the sculpture is Declan Breen.
Both man and dog are actually made of bronze, but are painted white to blend in with the rest of the piece.
Approaching Airport Road Roundabout Being a pedestrian on the roadside around here is a risky business as there is very little in the way of pavements or footpaths.
Archdeacon Duggan Bridge, Kinsale The Archdeacon Duggan Bridge spanning the river Bandon near its estuary at Kinsale was opened in March 1977. It is named after Father Tom Duggan MC OBE http://www.militarian.com/threads/father-tom-duggan-chaplain.8507/ . This bridge replaced an older cast iron structure of the early 1880s which was located approximately 3km further upstream, near Tisaxon More.
