A close up of the pub sign. The wall also has an old AA sign with distances in miles. The road is now R702. The context is here S8546 : The Thatch

Sign with no Irish
An opposite example from Wexford with no Irish transalations. Also odd about this sign is the use of the international railway station logo. Railway stations do not often appear on official signage, with Iarnrod Éireann-Irish Rail usually erecting its own signs (variously using TSM-style or IÉ corporate style depending on their mood at the time!). In Bray there is a an official TSM sign with the IÉ logo on it, but thats a rarity.
