R759 Near Sally Gap Southbound

Incorrect signage approaching narrow bridge. The S bend is to right then left! It's not a place you'd want to run off the road either. You'd need a tractor to pull your car back out! Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 19, 2006 by murphaph

R759 Near SallyGap Northbound

Beautifully desolate scene just a stone's throw from Dublin. This is looking towards the city along the R759. The road hairpins to the right over a narrow bridge before continuing.

You curve back around on youself as you follow the road around over the bridge and head towards the N81 and on to Dublin.

Sally Gap Sally Gap in the Wicklow Mountains at nearly 1,700 feet. This is where the "Military Road" (R115) crosses the R759. Both roads are frequently closed in winter.

The road to Sally Gap The R759 road runs through the Wicklow Mountain National Park. Sally Gap is the pass over which the road crests.
