Railway Station Lighting
WRTL 2600 on concrete column and metal column with WRTL Arc in Stourbridge, right outside the train and bus stations. All of these side-street lights in the borough of Dudley run on cosmo.
The pathway between the train station and the bus station, right on the doorstep to each other. Don't know what the lanterns on the street lights are, but still quite interesting.
Along Railway Drive. Philips MA30 lantern outside Wolverhampton train station. Both this lantern and the column won't be lasting for much longer, as the station is being redeveloped.
0utside Wolverhampton railway station. Cobblestone road heading underneath the railway, and old station car-park. The lighting seen here are Urbis Albany and Philips Iridium lanterns.
Day-burning GEC Turtle lantern with mercury lamp at Kidderminster station, photographed back in September of 2018. Sadly all of the lighting here is to be removed and renewed soon (if not done so already) from what Ive heard, as the station is being redeveloped apparently.
A closer image of the concrete columns outside Blackpool North station. Not in service now as they are group-switched and can't work without the missing LED lantern.
Closer image of the unique street lighting of Sheffield with Philips Lumas. Prievious lanterns were Indal 2-Tones.
Unusual street lights with Philips Luma lanterns outside Sheffield's main rail station. From what I remember the original lanterns were Indal 2-Tones and Urbis Thylias.
Urbis ZX1 lanterns light the pathway from Kidderminster train station to the main road up above. The station is due to be redeveloped, so all of this lighting will probably be renewed soon sadly.
Kidderminster, outside the railway station. Holophane V-Max lighting along the A448 and GEC Turtle lighting for the train station. Apparently all of these rail station lanterns have been removed now sadly, and the lantern visable further in the distance is a Holophane Estilo.
Looking from further away. Day-burning Urbis Stratos lanterns at Kidderminster train station car-park. Although the station is being redeveloped these haven't been removed or replaced yet, so don't know if they still will any time soon.
Outside of Kidderminster train station. LED lights such as TRT Aspects and Holophane V-Max. Previously the lanterns here were GEC Turtles running on mercury lamps, and the main road used to be lit with Philips Iridiums running on sodium lamps.
Photo from September 2018. Holophane V-Max outside Kidderminster train station, heading down to the town centre.
This was a photo I took back in the Summer of 2017. Vectra lanterns on North Queensferry station and the Forth Rail Bridge in the background.
Philips Luma Micro lanterns outside of Cardiff Central railway station, just off Great Western Lane. Don't know what the previous lanterns were, but I know these Lumas were not the originals. Photo from August 2018.
Philips Luma Small lantern along Saunders Rd, just outside of Cardiff Central railway station. Don't know what the previous lantern was, but I know the Luma would of not been the original. Photo from August 2018.
Aluminium columns and Philips Luma Small lanterns along Penarth Rd, just outside of Cardiff Central railway station. Don't know what the previous lanterns were, but I know these Lumas were not the originals. The lanterns seen in the background could have been what was here before. Photo from August 2018.
Short 4m to 6m aluminium column along side Lloyd George Avenue (A470) and outside of Cardiff Bay train station. The lanterns are believed to by Urbis, and apparently they were installed around the year 2000. This photo was taken in August 2018.
Red 8m column and Simplex Jupiter lantern. This is along Station Link Road/Station Way heading into Birmingham International railway station. The other lantern seen in the background on the green 10m column is a Holophane V-Max, which is LED and belongs to Solihull council.
New 8m steel column with a TRT Aspect lantern, which is LED. This is along Station Link Road/Station Way heading into Birmingham International railway station. This would of only been installed either last year or earlier this year, replacing a red coloured column with a Simplex Jupiter.
Red 8m columns and Urbis ZX3 lanterns. This is alongside Station Link Road/Station Way heading into Birmingham International railway station.
Day-burning 2-chevron Holophane V-Max, which are LED, outside Birmingham Airport train station. The previous and original lanterns for these columns were Holophane QSMs.
TRT Aspect and Holophane V-Max LED lanterns in Kidderminster. This is on the A448 at the train station.
Tall column with Urbis Stratos. This still remains even after the redevelopment of Kidderminster train station.
Tall columns with Urbis Stratos. These still remain even after the redevelopment of Kidderminster train station.
Kingfisher Kaos lanterns that used to be just outside Kidderminster train station. Sadly these have since been replaced for TRT Aspects, which are LED. This photo was taken back in 2019.
TRT Aspects that are now at Kidderminster train station. These replaced Kingfisher Kaos lanterns. The previous lanterns were still there in 2019.
