The worst road surface in Britain?
Up on Fort Pitt Hill in Rochester is a horrendous road surface. It looks like it was once cobbled, but the cobbles have subsided and vanished, and potholes and ravines appeared. The road appears worse in the flesh, and most cars ground out negotiating the road, especially the deep ravine pictured here. Some people actually drive the road for a challenge! If you can drive this road without damaging your car you are a bloody good driver!

The Vauxhall Corsa in the photo is not pulling out of a parking space, it is negotiating a deep ravine running across the road!
