This stretch is called Power Station Road, and has been here for a long time as a quiet industrail estate road, until now. It's been recycled into a bypass.

Heading southbound on the A51. Ahead is a new roundabout, left is the Rugeley bypass, and right is the original route into the town. We leave NSL behind, and do 40 for the time being.

As we turn on to the new road we are greeted with a 50 limit, which covers the whole stretch, except for 30 at junctions. On the right is a combined footpath/cyclepath. The litter appears to be accumulating, tut tut.

River Trent bridge - Station Road The south end of the bridge has been modified as part of the Rugeley Bypass scheme.
