A1 at Stannington Bridge Looking south from Stannington Bridge over the River Blyth. Just south from here the present-day dual carriageway A1 parts company from the old main road which runs to the right alongside the Blagdon Estate. The footway alongside the A1 has been designated as a cycle track allowing cyclists access from Stannington village to Seaton Burn.
