Sowton Interchange

 

 

M5 J29 and A30 Blackhorse Junction - I've moved the Blackhorse slips east of the bridge to reduce weaving. At J29 I've put in a loop for M5Sb->A30Eb which removes a set of traffic lights making N5Nb->A30Eb freeflow. Finally, I've added the missing A30Eb->M5Sb movement. No additional bridges are required.

The initial 1972 proposal for dualling A30 between Honiton and Exeter as an all purpose route

1972 proposal for constructing the A30 Honiton to Exeter improvement as a motorway. This scheme proved less favourable than scheme B due to the lack of a direct connection through Sowton Interchange towards Exeter.
