Gallery:Speed limit sign/5 mph
Built by the Cleveland Bridge & Engineering Company and opened in 1892.
This is where Edgwarebury Lane becomes privately owned and is clearly made by someone old enough to remember when they looked like this. The sign is made on hardboard by a firm in Enfield displaying an 020 number so made since 2001.

However this isn't in suburban America, it's in Worthing, West Sussex. England.
On private property but oddly enough around here and into the West End of town there are a few American style signs.
Personally I love this style of sign, the 5 is very cutesy and looks great.
