The A500 Stoke D-road is great, but here there is a good 350 yards of lay-by on either side which are always packed. I'm sure they started a thread of some sort on the forums.
A great urban road and well worth the detour from the M6.

Ahhh, there's a roundabout in the distance up ahead. Must mean the motorway.

Thanks to this recently-built trumpet interchange, the valley down that way will allow for future development along the A527.

Shelton New Road is accessed by this limited-access junction.

Approaching Basford interchange. Here are the local destinations.
Traffic peels off for Burslem, Hanley and Leek here on the A53.
I still see no emerging vehicles!

The A527 is off this slip.
Underneath the roundabout.

Approaching Stoke North roundabout. Soon to be a fully fledged GSJ.
Straight on to continue along the A500.
Streetlights appear, and the Trent Vale interchange diverges here.
The A500 gains an extra lane between Trent Vale interchange and the double junction of Sideway (for Campbell Road & Michelin) and Sideway 2 (for the A50)
The A50 widens with another lane for the Campbell Road exit before the diverge.
Traffic for Campbell Road and the Michelin plant turns off here, and re-enters on this sliproad.
The interminable slip road comes to an end at this roundabout.

Anyways, on to the A50!
And off the roundabout with the A519 and onto the A500!
Here's one long lay-by, especially built for truckers on long haul journeys.
From here, you can really see the big smoke of Stoke!
(okay, that was a really bad joke!)
Now entering Stoke-on-Trent, approaching the junction for Trentham with the A34.
Found on the A518 Weston Bank between Weston and Stafford
Had to stop sharp and reverse to get this one! Spotted near Ashbourne.
Spotted just outside of Cheadle, Staffs.
On the outskirts of Cheadle, a well battered sign with an old pole.
Found in the village of Oakamoor, Staffs. I took this one to get the candy striped pole.
