Stewarts and Lloyds
This is just on the outskirts of Crewe. Now Philips Unistreet lanterns on very old post-top Stewart & Lloyd columns. I did see what the prievious lanterns were but don't know what they were called.
Quinton, Birmingham. It was unusual to see these columns with casual Unistreet (LED) replacements. The old blue columns on the left are Sandwell council, and the modern black columns on the right are Birmingham council.
This column has a Stewarts & Lloyds bracket, but it looks as if the rest is more modern. The lantern is a larger version Philips MA50.
Stewarts & Lloyds columns. The main one in this image has a Philips Iridium lantern, much more modern, where as the rest in the background are GEC Z9554 lanterns.
Shrewsbury Stewarts & Lloyds columns, one with GEC Z9554 lantern and the other with a dark Urbis Ampera Midi.
Leominster, Herefordshire. Old 1960s columns (Stewart & Lloyd) with LEDs. Urbis Ampera Midi lanterns.
0ld red coloured Stewart & Lloyd columns in Cotteridge, Birmingham. Most of Birmingham's old Stewarts & Lloyds columns were replaced by new 12 metre columns between 2012 and 2015 all over the city. Surprisingly this stretch of road still hasn't had properly renewed street lighting yet, there are only casual replacements every now and then.

0ld Stewart & Lloyd columns with more modern sodium lanterns, WRTL 2600s. These columns are probably the 1950s versions too.
The B4100, main road through Digbeth, Birmingham. Still quite a lot of Stewart & Lloyd street light columns down this stretch of road. Most of Birmingham's old street lighting was renewed between 2012 and 2015.
Old S&L column with a Thorn Alpha 1 lantern in Friar Park, Wednesbury. This is one of the only S&L street lights left in the area now.
Unsure about the street lighting in the foreground, but in the background are a couple of Birmingham's surviving S&L columns with MA50 lanterns.
New John Street West, Birmingham. Old 1960s S&L street lights with Indal Airtrace and Philips MA50 lanterns, none of which would of been the originals. The Airtrace lantern in the foreground is a fairly new casual replacement.
New John Street West, Birmingham. Old 1960s S&L street lights with Industria Vectra lanterns, which would not of been the originals.
New John Street West, Birmingham. Old 1960s S&L street lights with Philips MA50 lanterns, which would of been installed later in the 1970s.
1960s column with a Philips MA50 lantern in Lichfield. It appears to be like an S&L column as well. This is along The Friary, just as you come off the roundabout with the A51, heading into the city centre.

Old heritage street lights in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, but the lanterns are new LEDs, and the columns are actually 1960s Stewarts & Lloyds.
The base of one of the Stewards & Lloyds street lights in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. You can always tell they's 1960s S&L by seeing that type of base.
This is along the A457 in Smethwick, right on the Birmingham and Sandwell border. The street lights in the background are in Birmingham, and the old 1960s Stewart & Lloyd columns I think used to belong to Birmingham as well at one time, but now Sandwell council have taken over and installed new Philips Unistreet 2s. The previous lanterns were small shoe Philips MA50s.
Old 1950s S&L column in Bewdley. The lantern is now LED, a TRT Aspect, which would not have been the original one.

More modern Philips Unistreet lanterns on very old post-top Stewart & Lloyd columns. This is in Wistaston, just on the outskirts of Crewe. I believe the previous lanterns were post-top GEC types. Photo taken back in 2018.
Old 8m S&L street light with a more modern Holophane Syracuse/QSM lantern. I think the previous lantern may have been a Simplex Jupiter, and before that probably some kind of LPS/SOX type, but I'm only guessing. This is on Salop Street in central Wolverhampton.

Old street lights along the A457 between Birmingham and Smethwick. One example seen here is a 1960s S&L column and bracket with an internal geared spigot version of Philips MA50. Apparently these last few old street lights on this stretch of the road will be getting replaced soon, from what I've been told anyway.
