The A20 Dual Carriageway becomes the M20 Motorway

M20-M25 Swanley Interchange (1985)

Lets go back in time for this photo of the month. This was taken by me in 1985 and shows the M20/M25 Swanley Interchange without much traffic around. The photo was taken from the B2173 overbridge and shows the M20 running under the interchange. The unopened M25 (it would open the following February) through the junction serves as the horizon. This image was scanned from the original colour print.
