Newtownards Road roundabout, Bangor - Geograph - 193518.jpg
Newtownards Road roundabout, Bangor
The Newtownards Road roundabout is one of five on the Bangor ring road. It is also the busiest. Just as I was returning my camera to its bag I heard the distinctive nee-naw from the nearby fire station. This is the result. Note: part of the roundabout is in J5080.

THE BELFAST - BANGOR ROAD - Coppermine - 10290.jpg
THE BELFAST - BANGOR ROAD

The Belfast-Bangor (A2) road starts in the inner city but soon reaches the leafy suburbs. They start here at Cultra, just beyond Holywood. Photo from the Folk Museum flyover, looking towards Bangor, on 30 July 2006. Try turning right across the flow at peak periods count the waiting time in minutes and then wait for the sound of breaking glass.

A2 TO BELFAST

Looking along the A2 Bangor-Belfast road near the entrance to the Clandeboye estate (aristocratic not housing) with the B170 to Craigantlet and Dundonald on the left and the unclassified road to Crawfordsburn on the right. No shortage of street lights here! 29 August 2006.
