TRT Aspect Lighting
Eleco GR150 lanterns in Telford, photographed back in February. These lanterns have probably been changed to TRT Aspects now.
Taken from McDonalds car-park, roundabout in Redditch. You can see the signage fairly clearly and the road numbers of around this area. Street lighting seen here are 10 metre columns with TRT Aspect (LED) lanterns. The prievious lanterns were probably Urbis ZX3s or SGS203s, HPS/SON lighting.
From September 2018. Just at the start of Oxford Street in Kidderminster, just off the A451 (ring road). 1970s style column with newer LED lantern, TRT Aspect Mini. This roundabout is completely lit with these now, and previously the lanterns were Philips SGS203s. You can also see on the short column to the right, it still has an older Philips SGS201 lantern.
From September 2018. Just along the roundabout where the A451 and A448 meet, Kidderminster. 10 metre column with another fairly new TRT Aspect Mini, but lower down the post an older Philips SGS201 still remains.
From September 2018. More of the fairly new TRT Aspect Minis, Kidderminster. Passing through inside the roundabout, where the A451 and A448 meet.
Outside of Kidderminster train station. LED lights such as TRT Aspects and Holophane V-Max. Previously the lanterns here were GEC Turtles running on mercury lamps, and the main road used to be lit with Philips Iridiums running on sodium lamps.
New 8m steel column with a TRT Aspect lantern, which is LED. This is along Station Link Road/Station Way heading into Birmingham International railway station. This would of only been installed either last year or earlier this year, replacing a red coloured column with a Simplex Jupiter.
TRT Aspect and Holophane V-Max LED lanterns in Kidderminster. This is on the A448 at the train station.
Older columns with TRT Aspects (LED). The post in the foreground used to have a white coloured and deep bowled Urbis ZX2 (HPS/SON), and the other one in the background used to have a spigot version Philips MA60 (LPS/SOX). The old lanterns were replaced around 2014/15.
Old 1960s column with a TRT Aspect (LED) in the foreground, and more modern 10m steel columns with unusual post-top twin brackets and Philips Lumas (LED) in the background. The Aspect would of replaced an LPS/SOX type of lantern around 2014/15, and the columns with Lumas have been there since 2013.
TRT Aspects that are now at Kidderminster train station. These replaced Kingfisher Kaos lanterns. The previous lanterns were still there in 2019.
Old 1950s S&L column in Bewdley. The lantern is now LED, a TRT Aspect, which would not have been the original one.
Old 1960s colums and brackets with more modern LED lanterns. In the foreground is a TRT Aspect, and in the background is a Windsor Kirium Pro. The previous lanterns were LPS/SOX types.
12m columns on Penn Road, one with a Windsor Kirium Pro (LED) and the other with a TRT Aspect (LED). The original lanterns I think were Urbis ZX2/3 (HPS/SON) types, both which would of been replaced for Aspects back in 2014/15. The Kirium would of been installed quite recently, replacing one of the Aspects. Looks as if the bracket has been shortened as well.
Old street light in the foreground with a TRT Aspect, and new columns in the background with Holophane V-Max. This is at junction 3 of the M6, with the A444.
Post-top white coloured column with a TRT Aspect/Thorlux Starbeam lantern outside Tesco in Uttoxeter.
Couple of older 1960s style street lights, one with a TRT Aspect (foreground), the other with a new Windsor Kirium Pro (background). This is along Penn Road in Wolverhampton, which was previously lit with SOX/LPS street lights. You can also see 40mph and speed camera signs as well.
Unusual bottom-entry twin bracket, one arm supporting a Thorn R2L2 and the other supporting a TRT Aspect. Originally I think this column used to be post-top and supported an Industria Vectra, then they installed this twin bracket with the R2L2 and reused the Vectra, and after that they eventually ended up replacing the Vectra for the Aspect.
