A4 crossing the River Colne and M25

Ashopton Viaduct
Multi-arched bridge carrying the A-road across Ladybower Reservoir. Much of the surrounding hillsides in this limestone area have been afforested.

A51 viaduct near Vif

Just a couple of miles after the tunnel is this viaduct. I'm sure the residents really approve of this towering over their houses.

I cannot tire of looking at this pic - it's my wallpaper on my laptop and home pc! I took it hanging out of the car as we crossed the viaduct. Must find the other pics!

View from the new rest area to the north of the bridge. I don't know how long the rest area has been open but there was no grass, only bare dirt so presumably not very long. The walk up to the viewing area is a bit tough in the heat but well worth it.
