New road with 'sheep' sign
This relatively recent stretch of straightened road has this sign, modified by some 'wag', due to me using a flash it looks slightly digitally enhanced but definitely wasn't.
A6, south of Carlisle, S4 section - Coppermine - 18358.JPG
A6, south of Carlisle, S4 section

The S4 sections just sort of peters out. I can imagine some scary overtaking maneouvres here back in the day as everyone rushed to get past the slower traffic during this limited opportunity to do so.

A423 Northbound Between Ladbroke Turns Warwickshire - Doctored Sign

A cattle sign has been doctored by sticking a dinosaur shape over it although if you look closely the cattle image is still visible - Catches your attention though! I believe there were some fossils discovered in the nearby quarry which gives a tenous link. 270407

Note that in Scandinavia, hazard signs have a 'to' and 'from' distance - so in this example there is a risk of elk from 0,2km ahead to 4,9km ahead

Elk Warning Sign, E4, sweden

These signs were prevalent all over Sweden and Finland (which had a slightly different image - will see if I can find one...) Note that Norway uses white backed signs, whereas Sweden and Finland use yellow backed signs.
