Exit for eastbound on-slip
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 02, 2007 by Sunil_of_YoxleyThe junction at Ballachulish Arch after the turning lanes have been removed / shortened for the new cycle track. The gravel drainage strip was always there and used to run about a foot behind the kerbline.
The foreshortening of the right turn lane clearly visible with the extra wide pavement area across the overpass.
Original A74, Nether Howcleugh
This stub of the original alignment diverges from the 1960s alignment near Nether Howcleugh, and drops down to the railway bridge there.
