Ford Sign with Use Causeway Plate below - Coppermine - 11738.jpg
Ford Sign with Use Causeway Plate below

Ford warning sign with supplementary plate 'Use causeway if flooded' in Grandborough village. It is only signed with this plate from this direction, just ford from the other way. The camber would suggest this would be the deeper side. The causeway is on the right and you would just about get a car through it. May 14 2007

Apologies for crap quality, scanner doesn't work so had to use digi cam. Note the drains down the centre - this is why motorcycles are barred from the centre lane.

View of the warning sign and Use Causeway If Flooded supplementary plate at Grandborough. This sign is at the other end of the ford and differs from the previous photo published of the supplementary plate. This plate was missing at the time of the first photo in earlier May and and this replacement to a different font and size had appeared by 25 May 2007.

Dual Height Restriction And Distance to Restriction Signs off A423 at Fenny Compton Wharf - Coppermine - 11373.jpg
Dual Height Restriction And Distance to Restriction Signs off A423 at Fenny Compton Wharf

Advance warning signs and distance to the railway bridge at Wharf Road Fenny Compton previously shown. This is positioned off the A423 as the road is used by LGVs to access a sectional building works and Aston Martin car parts warehouse just the other side of the bridge - overheight vehicles have to travel about 5 or 6 miles around to gain access. During my time spent along this road two vehicles were noted reversing and turning around despite all the warning signs.
