Goyle Bridge is a wide modern concrete bridge which carries the B757 across the River Kelvin on the northern edge of Kirkintilloch. The bridge carries a wide S2 carriageway between pavements, with metal railings as parapets. Bollards were installed in the pavements in the early 2010s, presumably as some form of pedestrian or structure protection, but they have seriously reduced the available width of the footways. The bridge is, unfortunately, one of those few structures which is closely surrounded by private property at three corners, the fourth being heavily overgrown. This makes it difficult to see the structure, and very little information is available online. One record, however, does suggest that the current bridge replaced an older structure which was listed.
