|Junctions related to the B3135|
The junction at Green Ore is almost certainly the reason for the development of the settlement. The two roads concerned, the A39 and B3135 are both dead-straight as they meet, and while only the latter is of Roman origin, both are historic routes. The A39 is the old Bristol Road from Wells and central Somerset north to Bristol.
The result is that this is still a busy junction with both turning and through traffic. The junction is controlled by traffic signals, with the A39 also featuring right turn filter lanes. Unusually these lanes are separated from the left / straight-on lane by a traffic island, but from oncoming traffic simply by double white lines!
