The Highways Agency's Area 1 is tasked with looking after trunk roads in 'Cornwall & Devon'. It looks after approximately 243 miles of trunk road, non of which is motorway and some of which is in Dorset.

Highways Management

East of the M5, the south coast trunk route is a PFI scheme operated and maintained until 2026 by Connect A30/A35 Ltd. It is considered to be 'Area 32'

West of the M5, EM Highway Services Ltd support the HA until June 2015. The Tamar Bridge is owned and operated by the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry joint committee.
