Junctions related to the A2300 | |||
Hamlins Corner its a pretty old corner. It originally was where Jobs Lane terminated onto the Bishopstone Lane, however nowadays that junction is right next to the A2300. There is access between Jobs's Lane and Bishopstone Lane, however there is only left turn Eastbound onto the A2300.
2020s A2300 dualing
Initially this junction was going to be closed to vehicular traffic, only allowing cyclists and pedestrians access. This would lead to traffic from Bishopstone Lane to head along Jobs lane for 1 mile to get onto the A2300, and 1 mile back again to get to a roundabout to turn around to head into Burgess Hill or the A23, which isn't great. So after consultation the plans showed for access onto the A2300 would be retained, however no exit off of the A2300. The junction opened with its new layout in May 2021.
