The Heeley Bypass is a generic name for a route that would have linked the central city centre area to both the inner ring road and the A61 south of the city centre.

Originally conceived in the late 1960s to provide a fast link south from the then planned Sheffield Urban Motorway, the Heeley Bypass seemed likely to progress to site, with sections of the proposed route cleared of housing and industry. The scheme was finally shelved in the 1980s, however parts of the proposed route clearance can still be seen along Bramall Lane and through Heeley Park.
