Jobs Corner was originally a crossroads, with Jobs Lane heading east to west, Stairbridge Lane to the North and Pookbourne Lane to the South. In 1997 when the A2300 was built a new cross road was created, which goes by the same name. The A2300 here is basically a realigned Jobs Lane, and as such the name "Jobs Corner" applies to this new junction.
When the A2300 is created in the 1990s, the route was a single carriageway, however it did have single lane dualing (D1) at this junction, with a large reservation in the centre for turning vehicles.
Due to a large new housing development on the Northern side of Burgess Hill it was decided to dual most of the A2300. These works started in 2020 and due to be complete in February / March 2022. These works will alter this junction by becoming a LILO. There are roundabouts in close proximity in either direction that can be used to make the otherwise banned right turns.
